  • Characters have different amount of "aggro" depending on their current row and other factors.

Multiple TargetingEdit

  • During the enemy's targeting phase, an ability is selected, and depending on its target count (unless fixed) it chooses one or more of the player party to attack.
    • If a character has an "aggro" of 3, it's name is placed 3 times in a list of viable targets.
      • The enemy has a "target list" with slots equal to the player party members.
        • The randomization loop is run equal to the target count of the ability.
          • Each lap, a random party member is selected from the "aggro" list and its name is placed in the "target list", and its temporary copied "aggro" value is decreased by 1.
            • This causes members that have been targeted before to be less likely to be targeted in the next lap.
              • "Temp aggro" cannot go below 1. All characters always have a chance to be targeted.
                • However, a targeted ally cannot be placed twice in the target list. You can only be "hit" once by an ability, after all.
                  • After the ability has been terminated, each targets' actual "aggro" is decreased by 1.
                    • "Actual aggro" cannot go below the row's standard.
  • In summary:
    • Any ability with more than 1 target count may always target more than 1 party member.
    • An ability with a high target count is always more likely to target several party members than an ability with a low target count.
    • Higher aggro means a higher chance of being targeted, but never exclusivity.

Enemy Ability SelectionEdit

  • The enemy takes the aggro of players into account when selecting abilities.
    • High aggro on multiple party members mean a higher chance of a higher targeted attack.
    • While low aggro mean the enemy might just use a less consuming (MP or TP) attack, or not even attack at all!
